Very Saddened that Senior Politician of Coastal Karnataka, former MLA of Belthangady Sri.Vasantha Bangera has breathed his last. Our heartfelt Condolences. Om Shanti.

Recently, his health took a severe downturn, leading to his admission to a Bengaluru hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, despite medical intervention, he passed away. News of his demise came in today. The body is expected to arrive in Belthangadi early on May 9.

Born on January 15, 1946, in Kuvettu village, Banger was the son of Kede Subba Pujari and Devaki. He began his political journey in 1972 when he was elected unopposed as a member of the Kuvettu Gram Panchayat, eventually serving as its president. In 1983, he made his debut in the Legislative Assembly representing the BJP.

With an impressive political career, he was elected as MLA from Belthangadi constituency five times. Remarkably, he contested elections under the banners of three major political parties in the state—Congress, JD(S), and BJP—achieving victories each time and securing a unique political legacy.
