Bart Durham dead, In a heartfelt note from Blair Durham

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bart Durham, a prominent figure in the Nashville legal community and a beloved patriarch to our family. Bart, who founded Bart Durham Injury Law, passed away at the age of 89.

Bart Durham relocated to Nashville in 1969 and established his personal injury law firm in 1975. Over the years, his presence became an integral part of the Nashville landscape, from television commercials to advertisements on public transportation.

Visitation for Bart Durham will be held on April 16 at 10 a.m., followed by a celebration of his life at noon at Woodmont Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, cards, and gifts, Bart and the family have requested donations of time and resources to be shared with Heart’n Soul Hospice.

Bart is survived by his wife, Cindy, his children, Colin and Michele (Falletta) Durham, Blair and Kelley (Bean) Durham, and his grandchildren, Ethan and Adelynn.

My father’s life journey, from humble beginnings to becoming a distinguished advocate for the underserved, is a testament to his relentless dedication. Whether serving in the U.S. Army, excelling in his legal practice, or fearlessly championing the cause of personal injury victims, his legacy extends far beyond the legal realm.

He also deeply valued education, as evidenced by his support for individuals pursuing knowledge.

While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived — marked by flair, laughter, and a genuine love for the community. My family and I are grateful for the overwhelming support during this difficult time.
