A tragic skiing accident in Colorado last week resulted in the death of a 22-year-old Wilmette Loyola College graduate.
Erin Sheahan of Evanston died after colliding with a tree near Aspen Highlands Ski Resort at the scene of an accident around noon Saturday, Jan. 27, according to a statement from Aspen Skiing. The accident occurred on the resort’s exhibition slopes, which also includes multiple slopes at Aspen Logue Peak.
Shane was a senior at the University of Michigan, preparing to graduate in May with a degree in economics, according to his family’s obituary. She attended St. Joan of Arc Elementary School in Evanston and Loyola Academy High School, graduating in 2020.
